Accessible Rooms

The hotel has 8 accessible bedrooms all interconnecting with other rooms suitable for other family members or carers. The accessible rooms all have double beds and have been specially adapted for wheelchair users.

Light switches are in a lower position, wardrobes and hanging rails are at a lower position, hairdryers can be taken to the desk area which is well lit and has a mirror located above it and the air conditioning control panel is also located at a suitable height.

Bathrooms are wet rooms and feature walk in showers and sinks at a lower level. These rooms do not have baths. Both the bathrooms and bedrooms have emergency pull cords that alert our 24 hour reception once activated.

Vibrating pillows are available for guests if required. These are decibel related and can be used for wake up calls and in the event of an emergency. The televisions in all bedrooms offer teletext and subtitles and have internet facilities. For those wishing to dine in their rooms 24 hour room service is available. 

Bedroom adaptations:

• Furniture can be moved or removed subject to your requirements
• The wardrobe has a lowered clothes rail that can be reached by wheelchair users
• Emergency pull cords in both bathroom and bedroom
• Light switches and air conditioning control panel lowered for easy reach
• Wider doors and large bedroom for wheelchair access – enough room is supplied for a wheelchair to turn in a full circle
• Vibrating pillows available to be used for wake up calls and to notify guest when fire alarm is activated
• Lower spy hole for security
• All accessible bedrooms interconnect with a standard twin room

Bathroom adaptations:

• Full wet room with railings and two sinks – one lower and one high
• Blue toilet seat for visually impaired guests
• Emergency pull cords in both bathroom and bedroom
• Raised toilet for easy transferal between wheelchair and toilet
