Holiday Inn liked our sample room a lot, so now we are busy starting the process to make sure that every room in the hotel meets the same high standards - with one or two tweaks!

With the last of the big lifts completed when the roof structure of the north wing was finished, the crane has been used to distribute new material for internal finishes around the site and remove the material left over from the construction of the shell of the building.

Last weekend our electricity supplier connected up our new transformer to the high voltage supply, so at last we are ‘on the mains’ and have said goodbye to the generators that have powered the site until now.

Work on the Hotel during the last two weeks has meant dodging in and out of the showers, but we’re keeping on schedule with construction.
The rain has tested the temporary roof on the south guest room wing and the building there has dried out so fast that
29 Apr 09 Whole floor in a week
Progress in the good weather from last Monday has given us a whole first floor of bedrooms on the north wing – our fastest build with the timber frame to-date!
We also completed the roof deck and installed temporary sheet weathering to the south wing just in time for the rain to start today.
