16 Apr 09 The north wing flat-pack arrives from the factory
Our run of good weather has come to an end, but we are still pressing on with the building of the guest rooms.

We have been taking advantage of the dry weather to press on with the construction of the south wing hotel rooms and have now completed the concrete floor slabs to the entire building.

This week has been mixed. We have had rain, high winds and cold weather mixed with spring days.

24 Feb 09 A new record
Another week of good weather, and the site has nearly dried out so we can make much faster progress.
14 Feb 09 Ground floor casting
This week we have at last had some dry, although still cold, weather.
09 Feb 09 Large pours happening
Progress has been really good this week with large pours of concrete happening on the ground floor. We have also been working on the staircase leading down to the basement. The retaining wall on the north side of the north wing has also been backfilled.
02 Feb 09 Snow and ice!
This week saw a large amount of snow on site which obviously slowed us down a little. Because of the low air temperature we have been unable to do the planned larger pours of concrete, but have managed to do some smaller pours to columns and bases etc.
