Along with pushing on with the project, this week we have had a special job... finishing one of the rooms so that it can be inspected and approved by Holiday Inn.

This means that in the middle of a building site full of half completed hotel rooms - with all their plumbing, electrics and other services on display, where the plaster is still wet on the walls and the floors not laid - is a little oasis containing a completed hotel room with bathroom, carpets bed, desk, cushions, curtains and with all the lights, air conditioning and TV working, just as it will be when you walk in from the corridor having been welcomed at Reception, and maybe even ordered your evening meal in the restaurant on your way to your room.  I've attached some photos taken along the way to preparing the room to this post!

We have taken great care to finish the room with attention to all the little details that you will expect when you stay there, and are confident that we will pass the inspection with flying colours.

Elsewhere the final finish to the main walls of the hotel have started to be applied, and if we can only get it to stop raining the hotel will quickly change appearance on the outside now.  Inside, we are pressing ahead quickly now, starting the finishes to the hotel rooms and to the conference and banqueting suites ready for decorations along with the installation of all the hotel trade equipment.
