Spooky visitors leave their mark

It looks like we had overnight visitors who left their calling card in the field opposite the Hotel.  However, we are keeping our feet firmly on the ground, and while we have people working on the site from quite far away, we have not started recruiting from Mars …….yet!

On site we are now putting the final roof membrane on the south wing, and are making progress on all floor levels – including closing in the hotel guest rooms at first floor which overlook Reception, and forming the ground floor guest rooms which are within the core building.  Once again the electricians, ventilation engineers and the plumbers are all hard at work progressing systematically through the lower ground floor where more and more ductwork keeps spookily appearing. 

Also, on the lower ground floor the guest rooms in the south wing are being finished ready for decorations – walls are plastered and the insulated floor screed has been installed to most of the rooms in the last week. The lift engineers are now installing the last of the three lifts, and more main ventilation plant has been installed in the main plant rooms

Outside, the windows to all of the hotel rooms are now installed and work is progressing well on the boarding to which the final cladding which will the building its characteristic appearance.
