Hampshire Hotel launches its AA rosette restaurant with a high-tec first!
The Holiday Inn Winchester will be holding a very special lunch on 17 November to mark the official naming ceremony of the hotel’s restaurant. The name has been chosen by a member of the public from Eastleigh who, together with the Mayor and Mayoress of Winchester will perform the naming duties.
Competition winner, Theresa Read will unveil the name as the Morn Hill Brasserie. It features a new expert chef, new menus and a new high-tec way of ordering wine – diners will be offered state of the art Blackberry tablets to make their drinks selection.
The restaurant was recently awarded an AA rosette and received great reviews from the “Ladies who lunch in Hampshire”. Chef Paul Bentley is keen to show his talents to a range of diners, from those who want to eat in the modern bar area or on the Terrace to those who want to celebrate in the airy, light atmosphere of the main restaurant. Already he has plans for Fish ‘n’ Chip Fridays and special lunch menus for business men and woman who need great quality food in a rush.
Looking forward to the naming lunch General Manager Siobhan Thomasson says, “the Holiday Inn Winchester has been open for over a year and our restaurant has grown in popularity. We felt it was now time for it to have its own identity. As well as loving the name I am delighted to have welcomed Head Chef, Paul Bentley to the hotel. He has already worked at a high level in Hotel restaurants and I know he will provide our diners with a great experience.”
