Morn Hill Brasserie named in style!

The restaurant at Winchester’s Holiday Inn has a new identity, new head chef, new menu and some ultra modern technology.

At a VIP lunch the restaurant was named MORN HILL BRASSERIE by competition winner, Theresa Read. The Mayor and Mayoress of Winchester attended the lunch together with special guest, Shelley Jory-Leigh, the champion power boat racer.

New chef, Paul Bentley put together a very impressive celebration meal which featured a trio of English lamb, sourced from a local butcher, pork from a Hampshire Farm and a chocolate plate designed and created by the Hotel’s dedicated pastry chef, Lyndsay Tyson.

The lunch guests were fascinated by the high-tech addition to the dining tables - Blackberry Tablets! These offer the wine menu, with background information on the wines and a host of other information including some tourism suggestions for guests.

The Mayor of Winchester, Councillor Barry Lipscomb spoke at the lunch to confirm that the Holiday Inn was now very much a part of the Winchester business community and was a well needed addition to the accommodation facilities for Winchester tourism.

General Manager of the hotel, Siobhan Thomasson thanked everyone present for their part in supporting the hotel since it opened in 2010. She went on to compliment her staff on their hard work in ensuring that the hotel maintains its high standards.  She ended by saying she was looking forward to welcoming guests to the Morn Hill Brasserie, especially on the new Fish n Chip Fridays!
