We have a number of vacancies in our busy Morn Hill Brasserie and bar with a variety of hours and shifts available.

Ideally you will have worked in a similar environment before but this is not essential as full training can be given for the right person.

The most important thing, is that you have had previous customer service experience in a customer facing role. This is a fast paced rewarding environment and we look forward to hearing from you.

Assistant Food & Beverage Manager

The Holiday Inn, Winchester is an award winning 4 star property, located on edge of the beautiful South Downs National Park and within five minutes from Winchester City centre. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to join our Team.

The ideal candidate should have previous experience in both events and bar work, with exceptional people management skills. They should also be very proficient in training, developing and motivating staff as well as at least 2 years' Food and Beverage or Hotel hospitality experience.

The key purpose of the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager role will be to:

  • Ensure food and liquor GPs are achieved
  • Ensure systems and standard operating procedures are followed consistently
  • Support an environment of 'going the extra mile' in delivering excellent customer service

Management/personal qualities required:

  • Ability to train, develop and coach managers /supervisors
  • Ability to lead, drive and motivate a team
  • Tenacity to uphold high standards.
  • Ability to deal with pressure and multiple priorities
  • Flexible attitude to carrying out the tasks needed to achieve the required result

Technical skills:

  • Ability to lead events; conferences, weddings and large bar parties
  • Ability to manage financial and cash handling systems and procedures
  • Fully conversant with health and safety and food hygiene legislation
  • Understanding & experience of stock control
  • Financial awareness, able to monitor costs and proactively manage within a budget.

Part time Receptionist

The Holiday Inn, Winchester is looking to recruit a part-time Receptionist to join our Front of House Team, working 16 hours per week.

The Reception team are the 'face of the hotel' often the first people that our guests meet, so this is an important role in the hotel. The role is varied, interesting and sociable – no day or guest is ever the same. Your first priority will be the care of our guests and their needs whilst staying at the hotel.

Some of your other duties will include:

  • Checking-in & checking-out of guests
  • Answering the telephone
  • General administrative duties
  • Some cash handling

The ideal candidate would be someone with previous customer service experience. Hotel experience would be perfect but not essential as full training can be given to the right person.

You should be:

  • Well organised with an eye for detail
  • Friendly and polite with polished communication skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Have a professional attitude with the ability to work under pressure whilst remaining positive
  • Computer literate
  • A good team player
