Food & Beverage Assistants

Type: Casual

We have a number of vacancies in our busy Morn Hill Brasserie and bar with a variety of hours and shifts available.

Ideally you will have worked in a similar environment before but this is not essential as full training can be given for the right person.

The most important thing, is that you have had previous customer service experience in a customer facing role. This is a fast paced rewarding environment and we look forward to hearing from you.

Previous experience of working within a hotel would be great but not essential as full training can be given.

Bar & Events Manager

The Holiday Inn, Winchester is an award winning 4 star property, located on edge of the beautiful South Downs National Park and within five minutes from Winchester City centre.  We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Events and Bar Manager to join our Team. 

The ideal candidate should have previous experience in both events and bar work, with exceptional people management skills.  They should also be very proficient in training, developing and motivating staff as well as at least 2 years’ Food and Beverage or Hotel hospitality experience.

The key purpose of the Events and Bars Manager role will be to:

Technical skills:

  • Ability to lead events; conferences, weddings and large bar parties
  • Ability to manage financial and cash handling systems and procedures
  • Fully conversant with health and safety and food hygiene legislation
  • Understanding & experience of stock control
  • Financial awareness, able to monitor costs and proactively manage within a budget.

Job Type: Full-time

Nights Porter

We are looking for a Nights Porter to join our Nights team.

You will be assisting on reception overnight, with the checking in and out of late arrivals and early departures. Dealing with guest queries and meeting the needs of our guests as they arise.

You will also look after the security of the building and guests overnight which will include the completion of security walks.

Other duties will include the setting up of conference rooms, ready for the next day and cleaning of the public areas of the hotel. You will also prepare a limited 24 hour room service menu of sandwiches etc, if required.

The ideal candidate will be happy working nights as your shift will start at 11pm and end in the morning at 7.30am. You will be working 40 hours per week on a rota with other colleagues which could include weekends and bank holidays.
